2012 Sighting Reports

Date: February 2011
Location: Val Caron, Ontario

On February 14, I received a phone call from a Val Caron resident who reported a sighting he made of an unusually bright object. What follows is what he sent me by e-mail, including a photo describing what he saw:

"As I turn my head to the left, a luminous object was hovering over a local used car garage. As I was turning the corner and realized what I had just saw, I did a U-turn to take another look at the object, but it was gone.

This photo is a reproduction of what I saw, and is not the actual photo."

On this date, I received the following e-mail via my website:

"Hi Michel, I'm a big fan, and I'd like to share my UFO sighting from today with you.

I was driving down Notre Dame Ave today at around 2:30 p.m. when I spotted a small sphere-shaped object. It came down lower, and I could see the center of it flashing a red light on and off. It was a black metal that did NOT reflect the sunlight. It hovered there. It was not a bird or a balloon or anything man-made that I could think of. (It was above the power lines and was not close to a rooftop). I quickly turned into the MacDonald's parking lot, and I lost sight of it. I got out of my car to take and look and maybe a photo and the object was gone...

The object wasn't very large, I'd rather call it some kind of drone rather than a ship, if I had to name it.

I thought you'd be interested to hear about it, I'm a little shaken by it.

Thanks,

M.S."

I just received a message from a friend via Facebook about a sighting that she said took place around 12:37 a.m.

"I just saw a UFO with my friend (J). I was sitting on her stairs talking and she was facing me but the sky, too and she noticed a white light - super bright. I got up to see and it was a big white orb. Then it flew to the right, then started fading, then came bright again then faded and disappeared. I'm like 'that was a UFO' and she doesn't believe in that, whatsoever. But she said it wasn't a balloon or plane or anything she ever saw before. Then she said "I'm scared". It was amazing!! I wish I had my binoculars!!!!!!!! Best sighting so far, without a reasonable doubt!!

I'd say from the distance in the sky over Azilda, but it was huge and bright...bigger then any star I ever saw.

My friend is all freaked out...she just called me. lol

I think she believes it's a UFO, but she is scared shitless of the thought. We watched it for almost 4 minutes.

I want to go back outside; the sky is so clear, I bet they are active tonight.

"Hey, my girlfriend and I just found your website, and are very interested in UFOs. Every night after work, around 9 p.m., we go to the highest point in Sudbury called sunrise ridge. On June 13, 2012, much like your other sighting from Sudbury, we, too, saw a weird black ball hovering over Notre Dame Ave. It appeared to be spinning with a flashing red light under it. We watched it with our binoculars, and it appeared to be spraying a mist of some kind over the city. After watching for about 3 minutes, it managed to cross all of Notre Dame Ave. and appeared to have landed off of Lasalle Blvd. around the Taxation Center. Please, keep us posted if you hear anything else about this. Thanks."

On July 17, I received the following e-mail after I had chatted with a friend of mine who had said that two of his friends had seen something weird while camping near Temagami:

"Hey,

Shawn asked me to shoot you an email with the description of a strange light my brother and I saw a few nights back.

My brother and I and five other guys were camped on Rabbit Lake in Temagami on Sat Jul 14 2012 (just this weekend past). It was around 1am in the morning and Gary and I were in the upper part of the cabin laying in our bunks (one at each end of the cabin near the windows due to the insufferable heat.) Below us, 1 other guy was sleeping on the main floor and the other four were drunk as skunks out on the main deck of the cabin.

Gary and I were talking when he said “Hey what the hell is that orange light?” I couldn’t see anything out my window so I said I had no idea.

He sat up and said “That was really strange. A large round orange light just crossed the sky.” He made his hands into a 6-8 inch circle and said that was pretty big….but before he could explain, a loud crash followed by several thumps echoed up to us.

One of our drunk comrades on the deck had broken a chair and fallen over. Well the owner of the cabin (And father of one of the other guys) shot out of bed downstairs and was yelling for everyone to go to bed….(He thought the boys started fighting outside)…

Anyway when the shit storm subsided, everyone was in bed 20 minutes later when Gary says there it is again.

I immediately swung out of my bed and ran to his window.

The cabin faces south over the bay and to the left of us a large hill lines the water. Crossing over the hill (I have no idea at what distance) was a solid orange light. Because I couldn’t see it very well through the surrounding trees through the window, I ran to the ladder to the lower level and then hustled past all the sleepers on the main floor. I crossed the deck and went down the stairs to the ground and was able to locate the light and watch it for about another 15-20 seconds before it disappeared from my sight.

It was distant in my opinion and certainly not the 6 inch sphere my brother had shown me with his hands…(it was small but closer than most planes that fly overhead.) The funny thing was it was solid orange with no blinking lights and made no sound. It traveled at a slow but steady pace across the sky.

Of course the boys in the cabin wanted to know what I was smoking, but other than 2-3 beers that evening, Gary and I were the only ones there I would say were sober. So, not much to tell, but that’s what I saw.

I have included Gary on the email in case he can think of something I might have missed."

Comments: Hello, My name is Brennan Meekis... im from Sandy Lake ONT. and I would like to report a UFO sighting outside the community of Sandy Lake ONT,
2009 July, there was a meteor shower. Me, My lil brother,{Julian} Big Borther {Mike} and my Dad [Johnson], "We were coming back from a moose hunting trip after killing a moose at the camp my father been going to while he was a kid. We were about 10mins away from the community of [Sandy Lake] when on the shore of the lake, we all seen 1 light flash" on and "Off" at 1st we thought it was a "SOS" flash.. so we went to the shore of the lake and asked if anyone need help.. {No body replied} so we all asked each other? (Do you guys seen that light?) ... we all said "Yes"

Moments after the light stopped.. things started to get weird?.. we were about to leave and forget what we seen, but then while driving home on the lake.... we seen ever more lights on the same shore of the 1st sighting, over 20 lights, {flashing on and off} this lasted for about 2-5 mins. We just watched and had a smoke.. didn't know which light to check out but then, we seen another light across the lake, and this time it was yellow/orange.. and it was fire fighters, and they said only 5 of them were on the lake off the "UFO sighting" also". We didnt tell them we seen weird lights in the woods.

This story is 100% true; I have 4 people including me who seen this and I have never told any other besides you, because you're in Ontario. Thanks for you time.

No FBI, or CIA has contacted us about what we seen, and those firefighters working on that lake can tell everyone, they were the only people on the lake of the UFO sighting, also it was about 11-1 at night. The lake where those lights where on is {Finger lake} it's on the Severn river, 10 mins outside of Sandy Lake, ONT.

On Monday, September 10, I received the following e-mail:

"Hello, my name is C. V. I'm 18 years old. This morning, around 11:30 - 12:00, me and my gf and my friend scott were driving to cambrian college. We were between Garson and Falconbridge on the way to school and it was the middle of the day. I looked up and I had saw what I thought was a helicopter flying low in front of us but then I tried to look closer.. it had many bright white lights and it seemed they were changing consistancy as they were getting lighter and darker at times, making it harder to appear... to my suprise when I focused my eyes past the light, I could see an object; it almost looked as if it was changing shape. It turned on its side; it looked like a cylinder which was hovering diagonally in the sky. It had lights in the middle. It also appeared to be spinning in this upright diagonal position as so --> / . As soon as I saw, I yelled at my friend in the back to look...he was seeing it and so was I. We got to see it for about 10 seconds before it dissapeared. The lights on it got so bright that the object was out of sight, and then it dissapeared. We looked around astonished. It vanished into thin air."

Date: Christmas Eve 1981 or 1982
Location: Echo Bay, Ontario

On November 23, 2012, I received the following e-mail from an anonymous source:

"Hi Michel

I will relate a sighting I had on Christmas eve in either 1981-82.

My first wife and I were visiting friends in Echo Bay, Ontario near Sault Ste Marie for a few days. We were planning on returning to Sudbury the following morning, a 2.5 hour drive.

I was reading a book all night sitting on the living room lazy-boy chair in the mid-recline position. Everyone in the household were sound asleep, except me. The time was 4 A.M.

Suddenly, a powerful spotlight type beam of light shone from outside inward through the bay window curtains located on my right side, the beam hitting the opposite living room wall, tracking from right to left as though searching for something.

Then, the chair I was sitting on began to levitate 3 or 4 inches and shaking; the hair on my neck and arms stood erect, but not out of fear; the air smelled like burnt electricity; there was no sound heard; the Christmas tree at the far left corner of the living room, whose branches began to move up and down like the flapping wings of a bird, so to speak, seemed to react to some unknown force.

Being somewhat spooked by the experience which lasted approx. 15 seconds, I decided to jump off the chair while still in its reclined and levitated position, and walked toward the entrance of the living room where the tree was also situated at the left side.

Passing next to the tree, its trunk bent toward me with several branches extended like arms to grab me, so it seemed, as though alive...but I attribute that phenomenon to perhaps magnetism, because as I backed away a few feet, the tree reverted to its normal position, and the closer I returned, it again bent toward me. Therefore, I quickly exited the living room and proceeded toward the back of the house into the only ground floor bedroom where my wife and friend were asleep in separate beds.

Looking out the window, I observed a small silver/grey saucer shaped craft with a glass type dome on top with a vapour trail behind it, the craft floating approx. 3 feet above the snowy ground at a distance of 20 feet from the window, heading toward a distant ravine 1/4 mile away where I lost sight as it dipped to lower elevation. The craft was no larger than a Volks Wagon vehicle, and completely silent. It must have been traveling approx. 30 mph. on its way to the ravine. My emotions were mixed at that point...feeling in danger and yet amazed.

I related my observation to our friends that same morning at breakfast table, and they were not sure what to make of my story. My wife and I hopped into the car after breakfast, but it would not start, even though the battery was strong; after some distributor adjustments, the engine started roughly and then normalized somewhat.

Half way en-route to Sudbury, the car engine seized, being red hot in color like a tomato, although all the fluids were at their normal levels. We abandoned the vehicle at the nearest gas station, and waited for the next Greyhound bus a few hours later.

I ended up selling the vehicle as junk to that same gas station owner, even though the vehicle was in decent shape otherwise. I kind of attribute that mishap with the UFO passing so close to my vehicle the night before, not knowing what effects it may have done to it.

Another sighting I had in the mid 1970's north of Sudbury was of a large fiery yellow/orange globe the size of the sun travelling below the cloud ceiling from east to west at speeds in excess of 300 mph; it was tracked by NORAD in Falconbridge and at other stations further west until intercepted by Michigan air force jets near Manitoba, when its trajectory changed from horizontal to vertical flight in a 90 degree turn toward outer space as it evaded the fighter planes' approach, shooting straight out of radar sight at speeds in excess of 15000 mph.

Thousands of Sudburians had seen that same globe in broad daylight as reported by the Sudbury Star newspaper.

Date: December 25, in the evening, between 7 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Capreol, Ontario

Today (December 26), I received a phone call from a Capreol resident who reported that the previous evening, she and other members of her family had just arrived home and stood outside for almost 5 minutes as they watched a large red ball of fire moving slowly across the sky. There was no sound, and the 'object' was moving extremely slow and too low to be a bolide meteor or fireball. It was about the size of the moon at arm's length. The witnesses kept on watching it as it headed towards the city around 7 - 7:30- p.m. They were scared and in awe of the thing, not sure what it might have been. They're hoping that someone else saw the same thing.

On December 29, I received this following message via Facebook:

"Hi Michel,

I met you when I worked at the Tim Hortons on Bancroft and Kingsway and you gave me your card. You were telling me about the research you have done and I have now had a chance to view your website.

As I was looking through some of the photos I came across this one and rememberd telling you about my husband and my sighting.

It was a year and a half ago, so 2011 in Rockwood, ON, close to Guelph. We were visiting at a friends' place, socializing around the fire when out of nowhere we saw an orange light, very much like the one in the photo from my subject line, from your website. It hovered there atop the tress for a few seconds, then started to rise and move towards us. At this point we were facing West and there was no sound or other light coming from this thing. It looked like it was going higher and more towards North. It kept rising North slowly from where it had made an almost 90 degree turn, until eventually we could no longer see it.
I must tell you that the photo you have is very similar to what we saw, except because of the camera that was used there seems to be a brighter white light in the center. The light we saw was orange all the way through. I tried to take a video with a GoPro camera but the light was too high up by the time I tried. In all the light we saw probably lasted about 3-4 minutes from the time we first noticed it in the West, to the time it disappeared North of us and almost straight up. No noise, it was a calm, clear with minimal cloudy night around 1:30am.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at this email.

Have a Wonderful Day!

Sincerely

C. H."
