What's New - UFO Sightings

On February 14, I received a phone call from a Val Caron resident who reported a sighting he made of an unusually bright object. What follows is what he sent me by e-mail, including a photo describing what he saw:

"Date: Febuary 2011

Place : Val Caron, ON

As I turn my head to the left a luminuse object was overing over a local used car garage. As I was turning the corner and realized what I had just saw, I did a U turn to take another look at the object, but it was gone.

This photo is a reproduction of what I saw, and is not the actual photo."

What are these "dragonfly"-shaped drones
that have been appearing since 1987?

Linda Moulton Howe

Science reporter Linda Moulton Howe investigates these mysterious objects by interviewing eyewitnesses who have not only seen these things, but also photographed them with their cell phones and other devices.

Since May 5, 2007, images of dragonfly-shaped mysterious aerial objects have been sent to Earthfiles and other internet sites with reports by the alleged photographers in Lake Tahoe, Capitola and Central California. The photographs provoked three eyewitnesses to contact Earthfiles Editor and Reporter, Linda Moulton Howe, about seeing the approximately 25-foot-long “dragonfly” in 2006, 2005 and around 1987.

Episode 17.mp3

California hypnotherapist Robert Mariotti (and Doctor of Divinity) from Canoga Park, goes on the record to describe his May 17, 2006, 10 PM encounter with a green, glowing “horseshoe crab”-shaped aerial object – similar to the May 2007 Chad drone photos. The glowing object was over a tree near the Northridge Shopping Mall.

Episode 18.mp3

On Monday, June 25th, 2007, six miles from Maxwell AFB and its Gunter AFB Annex in Montgomery, Alabama, was another dragonfly drone encounter. The eyewitness is a long-time technical specialist in security, educated about infrared frequency technologies and normal human aviation. Because his work is highly sensitive, he has asked that I not use his actual name. It all began around 5:45 AM while he was on duty in his security work that involves 32 infrared cameras.

Episode 19.mp3

A June 2003 dragonfly-shaped aerial “drone” report from Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and November 2007 aerial “drone” report from Van Buren, Arkansas. In May to June 2007, Earthfiles reported eyewitness accounts about the dragonfly-shaped aerial “drones,” which spanned a time line from 1987 to current day. But, no one knows their source or mission.

Episode 33.mp3

The superficial and inaccurate reporting by television about complex phenomena is notorious and misinformation continues with recent programs about 2007 dragonfly-shaped aerial “drones.” So, I think it is valuable to review the time line of eyewitnesses who have seen dragonfly-shaped craft since at least 1987. - Linda Moulton Howe

Episode 34.mp3

Another dragonfly aerial craft eyewitness has emerged – a sighting as recently as Monday, March 31, 2008. Her name is Cam and she lives in Scotts Valley, northwest of Capitola. Capitola is where another eyewitness, “Rajman,” allegedly photographed the dragonfly drone above power lines a year ago on May 16, 2007. Cam’s sighting was at 10:15 AM onMonday, March 31, 2008, when she was working in her kitchen while her boyfriend, Geoff, was doing yard work outside.

Episode 35.mp3

Two more eyewitnesses of the dragonfly drones have been discovered further north in Camas, Washington, on the Columbia River between Washington and Oregon, where they encountered one of the strange craft above Lakamas Lake on June 7, 2007.

Episode 36.mp3

In the early morning of mid-December 2001, “David Smith” had gone deer hunting in southern Ohio. But what he encountered has haunted his life since. First was a bizarre noise, then a beam containing snow melt droplets rising into a ring-shaped craft with three long antennas. The ring craft, or dragonfly drone, began to spin rapidly in complete silence. The hunter found himself waking up on the ground ten hours later, the soles of his leather boots completely melted.

In 2008, the following photos were taken by Marc Duchesne and Michel Ranger while on a camping trip across the Mattawa River.

If you look closely at the second photograph, you will notice that the camera has captured an unusual object in the sky. It was only after the film was developed that the photographer noticed the saucer-shaped craft above the hills in the distance. He never saw the object when he took the photo.

In October 2009, I received a message on Facebook from a woman who claimed to have taken photos of three unusual upside-down teardrop-shaped objects over a Valley East field in September. The following is the information she gave about the sighting, including the three photos she took:

"Hi, I just uploaded 3 pictures taken yesterday, Saturday September 19/09 in the vicinity of Sudbury Ontario. Can anyone tell me what this is? I thought maybe it was some sort of balloon so I called a local farm and asked if they used balloons for any reason. The woman told me that yes, some farms did. She proceded to tell me that her and her staff had also witnessed exactly what I described on Saturday as well and that the majority of her staff was freaked out saying it was a UFO. She told me that farm balloons are mainly tied down where this one clearly was not and that they are closer to the ground to fend off birds. She could not explain what it was saying she had never seen anything like it before. After snapping these pics and a short video we drove about 10 minutes farther up the road and seen another hovering. It was stationary although windy then would move against the wind. A second one quickly appeared for about 5 minutes then was gone in a flash..I'm confused and curious!!"

"They were silver balls with a cone shaped bottom..They were just hovering there then they would move straight up then sideways then down...weirdest thing I've ever seen. The 1st one we seen was alone then about 10 minutes down the road we pulled over when we spotted another, then all of a sudden there was a second one. We watched for a bit but the second one disappeared...I have a few pictures, not the clearest but I will post them this week."

UFO over Valley East - September 19, 2009

NOTE: It has been brought to my attention by two separate individuals that there have been balloons seen over farmlands near Val Caron. The purpose of this balloon...and others like it...is unknown at this time, but they have been seen several times before, for a period of a few weeks. But as mentioned by the witness, balloons simply don't hover, and disappear out of sight in seconds.

Also, it is a known fact that some UFOs will mimic man-made objects or their sound...such as a diesel engine, a steam engine, or even a jet sound.

On the weekend of July 11-13, 2009, I spent some time in Blind River and the Mississagi River Indian Reserve, looking into reports of UFO sightings, and as I might have expected, we saw unusual lighted objects on two consecutive nights. One of them was captured on video, using a camera that is being used to film a documentary about yours truly.

We also came away with some Bigfoot reports...and we were even taken to "Bigfoot Country", as the elders call it. Rocky outcrops surrounded by hundreds of acres of thick bush describes a perfect environment for the possibility that Bigfoot might be residing there.

We also found out that Lake Duborne, located just a few miles north of Blind River, is also known as the UFO Hot Spot of all Ontario. It turns out that J. Allen Hynek is the one to have coined that term and his favorite destination was Lake Duborne. In fact, his camp is still there and is being used exclusively by his son and members of some scientific association. With all the UFO activity in the area, I am not surprised at all that he would choose this area as a vacation spot.
